Byrne Calls for the Cancellation of Drag Bingo
Montclair Public Library should be Prohibited from Sexualizing Children
Montclair, New Jersey -- State Senate candidate Michael D. Byrne today called on the Montclair Public Library to cancel the planned appearance of "Harmonica Sunbean," a notorious drag queen, who is scheduled to "entertain" children as young as 12 years old in a so-called "Drag Bingo" program on Wednesday night, October 18.
"The Montclair Public Library has no business sponsoring Drag Bingo for any age -- let alone teens," Byrne said. "This event and the character who is scheduled to lead it, are completely inappropriate for any Library and should be canceled immediately."
Byrne said that the Library's website promotes the event as "just for teens" and appears to ban parents or adults from attending -- an obvious form of sexual grooming. He added that Sunbeam's claim to fame is appearing in a tv series about the Golden Age of Porn.
"There is an on-going, orchestrated effort by radical, sexual activists to target children with bizarre ideologies that would have landed them in prison not all that long ago," Byrne said.
Byrne went on to note that Montclair Mayor Sean Spiller serves on the Library Board ex officio while also moonlighting as the NJEA President where he has hosted a "LGBTQIA+ Banned Books Drag Queen Story Hour."
"Loony left activists like Spiller and Sunbeam are obsessed with promoting drag queens and targeting children," Byrne said. "Meanwhile, the Murphy Administration is imposing anti-parent mandates on school districts to stop them from sharing sensitive information about children with their own parents."
Byrne also said the growing prevalence of pornographic books in classrooms, school libraries, and public libraries has become a key component of the war on the nuclear family.
"Spiller and Sunbeam lament so-called book bans but in reality, they're implementing a twisted agenda of cultural Marxism designed to undermine the most basic building block of civilized society -- the family," Byrne said. "It has to end this year and we have to end it in Montclair first."
Byrne has pledged to co-sponsor a Parents Bill of Rights in the state legislature and to oppose funding for any town, school or library that refuses to recognize parents' rights or which promotes pornographic books to children.

Byrne Accepts Debate Invitation from League of Women Voters
Montclair, New Jersey -- Republican State Senate candidate Michael D. Byrne has accepted an invitation from the League of Women Voters to participate in a 27th District debate at any time and in any venue.
"All dates work for me," Byrne declared. "The Murphy Administration's assault on parental rights and its targeted sexualization of our children can only be defeated by legislators who are not beholden to party bosses and dependent on massive financial contributions from ideological extremists like the NJEA."
Byrne said a recent poll by Monmouth University showed that New Jersey voters have almost universal contempt for Murphy's anti-family, anti-parental rights agenda.
"If we allow state bureaucrats to ban school boards, teachers and guidance counselors from informing and involving parents in the most sensitive aspects of their childrens' lives, the most fundamental, natural rights we enjoy will be lost forever," Byrne said.
In accepting the League's invitation, Byrne also thanked and praised the Montclair Chapter of the organization for supporting his efforts to fight for election integrity in Essex County. In 2021, Byrne sued the County to find out how and why the votes of twelve (12) Montclair Republicans in Ward 3, District 4 were lost and why the district was certified as having no votes cast. Then, in 2022, Byrne again sued the County for failing to produce the Cure List showing which voters had submitted votes by mail but whose votes had not yet been counted due to curable defects. And, earlier this year, Byrne sued the County Clerk for rigging the general election ballot drawing for 17 straight years to give the Democrat Party preferential ballot position on Line A -- a statistical impossibility and absurdity.
"In each case, the League of Women voters supported these efforts for transparency and integrity," Byrne said. "I am grateful to them and look forward to an open and candid dialogue about the issues confronting the people of the 27th district in the planned debate."

Auth and Byrne Announce the Moms for Liberty Coalition of Candidates
New Jersey -- Assemblyman Robert Auth and State Senate Candidate Michael D. Byrne today announced the formation of the Moms for Liberty Coalition of Candidates to win control of the state legislature and reverse Phil Murphy's radical, anti-family policies.
"Moms for Liberty is the fastest growing, pro-family, pro-child, pro-parental rights organization in America," Auth said. "The work they're doing to hold politicians, bureaucrats, and school boards accountable is vital."
Moms for Liberty was founded to stand up for parental rights at all levels of government and now includes chapters in 45 states with six chapters in New Jersey alone.
"The moms of Moms for Liberty know that the future of our country is inextricably linked to the strength of families," Byrne said. "No one can hold a family together like a strong mom and Moms for Liberty is proving that no one can save a country like a group of moms."
In New Jersey, chapters of Moms for Liberty have been formed in Cape May, Burlington, Mercer, Ocean, Morris, and Bergen counties. Auth and Byrne recently spoke at the monthly meeting of the Bergen County Chapter of the organization.
"Bergen County needs a strong Moms for Liberty organization to promote and defend the integrity of the family unit," Auth said. "And New Jersey needs Moms for Liberty to end Phil Murphy's secretive gender identity policies in our schools."
Auth and Byrne noted that the recent Moms for Liberty National Summit in Philadelphia drew four of the top Republican presidential candidates as speakers: President Donald Trump, Governor Ron DeSantis, Entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy, and Ambassador Nikki Haley.
"All across the country, Republican lawmakers are uniting with Moms for Liberty to protect parental rights and preserve the innocence of American children," Byrne said. "We're proud to stand with them and endorse their work in New Jersey."

State Senate candidate Michael D. Byrne released the following statement about Moms for Liberty and their endorsement of him:
"Moms for Liberty is the most important grassroots organization in America fighting for the integrity of the nuclear family.
"No governor, attorney general, or school bureaucrat should be working to hide critical information about a child's health and well-being from his or her parents.
"Moms for Liberty is leading the fight to ensure parental rights are permanently protected and to stop the depraved Murphy Administration from taking those rights away.
"I pledge to make their cause my cause. In this totally confused world, no group could honor me more with their endorsement."

Certification of Lack of Transparency in the Ballot Drawing
"I believe that the Democrat Party and the Democrat Party’s nominees were disadvantaged by the lack of transparency and fairness in the 2023 ballot drawing process just as the Republican Party and the Republican Party’s nominees were disadvantaged in the previous eighteen (18) drawings."
Verified Complaint re: the Essex County Ballot Drawing Scam
"It is not reasonable to allow the Essex County Democrat Organization to enjoy placement on Line A yet again without election officials taking affirmative steps to strengthen voter confidence. Mochary v. Caputo, 100 N.J. 119, 125 (1985)"
